The Job Ready Program (JRP) is an essential pathway that allows skilled graduates in Australia to demonstrate their practical employment experience. Participants must complete a minimum of 12 months of suitable full-time, or equivalent part-time, employment. The entire program must be finished within three years of commencement.
Processing times for different stages of the program can vary depending on demand. The following overview outlines the current average timeframes as of November.
Program Registration
After submitting your online registration, you will typically receive written confirmation of your registration within 70 days.
Invitation for Workplace Assessment
Following your Job Ready Program application, a decision on your eligibility to progress to the Workplace Assessment stage is usually made within six months.
Workplace Assessment Application
After applying for your Workplace Assessment, you will generally be contacted within six weeks to confirm your referral to a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
The allocated RTO will then reach out within two weeks of the referral to arrange your assessment date.
If you cannot attend the scheduled assessment, it is your responsibility to notify the RTO directly to cancel or reschedule.
Workplace Assessment Outcome
Once the Workplace Assessment is completed, the RTO will send the outcome to the assessing authority.
You will usually be contacted about your result approximately 11 weeks after the assessment date.
Final Assessment
After fulfilling your participation requirement, you will receive an invitation to submit your Job Ready Final Assessment application.
Document Processing
You may be asked to provide additional or missing documents at various points in the program.
Processing of these documents can take up to 14 days from the date they are received.
